Week 2
SoundLift

SoundLift (Pedro Miguel Martins from Oporto) is a new portuguese talent in the electronic music area, especially connected to Trance music. Starting with no help in around 2005, he has been acquiring some knowledge that was proved as essential to the artists actual creations. This new artist is a strong addict of the "electronic music revolution" in Portugal, where Trance is not strongly affirmed. During his learning process he did not gave up of the finishing part of production, the djing, which allowed SoundLift not only to produce music, but to show them in live sets. SoundLift's objectives are simple: demonstrate his ideas through his tracks, attract a lot of people to listen to his creations, create great atmospheres and give fun to people wherever these tunes are played and always learning with all his new experiences. This artist considers Trance the most enthusiastic way of achieving all of these goals.

Chris Drifter

Krisztian Gabor aka Chris Drifter from Budapest, Hungary was always interested in electronic dance music. As a Child his love for music grew out of listening to his fathers vinyl collection & collecting all sorts of music throughout the years. In 1996, taken to a house party by a friend, Chris took a major interest in electronic music. By 1999 he solidifies his skills as a Progressive and Electro house DJ, going on to play in small parties or event that he organised himself. In April 2005 invited to participate in an Alfa Romeo-Honda car summit, he spun his music throughout the duration of the event in front of 1,000 people, being one of his major experiences in his career so far. 2007 saw Chris start working for SoundTribe Rekords as the A&R Manager, putting him in charge of managing the whole music side of the label.

The production aspect of the industry is as important for Chris as working the crowd in a party or event. He has several Productions under his belt to date, which have seen support from some of the biggest names in the business including Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Flash Brothers and Eelke Kleijn (Global Underground)..., and in 2009 he was one of the Navigation Records Remix Competition winners, with his remix of "Drift Away”.
